The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui

by Bertolt Brecht translated by George Tabori

Wednesday 3rd May to Saturday 6th May 2017 at 7.30pm

Times are hard for the Chicago cauliflower business, until gangster, Arturo Ui offers protection – but at what cost? Brecht’s brutal, but often funny play, parodies the rise of Hitler in 1930’s Germany, but is also for our time, describing how an unscrupulous man can abuse popular fears to gain power.
